Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These terms govern the APKIOS software and related publishing help that DIM WEBSITES LTD provides to Shopify merchants. They do not govern a shopper’s purchase of products from a merchant — that is the merchant’s Shopify checkout and store policies.

1. Agreement

By installing the APKIOS Shopify app or asking us to publish a white-label app, you agree to these terms. If you use APKIOS on behalf of a company, you represent that you can bind that company. The contracting entity is DIM WEBSITES LTD.

2. The product

APKIOS is a white-label builder of native iOS and Android apps for a Shopify store. Merchants configure branding, home, and theme in the admin. Buyers use catalogue, cart, Shopify Checkout, customer login, orders, wishlist, newsletter, and optional push.

  • This website is marketing and legal information. It is not the buyer app and not the Shopify admin.
  • We do not process product payments. Shopify Checkout does.
  • We do not sell the merchant’s goods. The merchant is the seller.

3. Two publishing models

DIM publishes: we compile the app and submit it using DIM WEBSITES LTD developer accounts. Our name may appear as the seller / developer of the app binary. The merchant remains the seller of the physical or digital goods sold through Shopify. Public App Store and Play URLs are not listed on this site because distribution is handled internally with the merchant.

Merchant publishes: you use your own Apple Developer and Google Play accounts. You are the developer of record. We still provide the APKIOS software and, if agreed, technical help.

Apple and Google can reject or remove an app. We do not guarantee approval, review times, or ongoing listing. You must supply truthful listing copy, privacy URLs, and business details.

4. Shopify, checkout, and accounts

  • You must have a valid Shopify store and accept Shopify’s terms.
  • Product payments go through Shopify Checkout (including Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay when you enabled them). They are not Apple or Google in-app purchases.
  • Customer login uses Shopify customer accounts. You remain responsible for your customer-facing policies.
  • If Shopify changes APIs, Checkout, or app requirements, we may need to update APKIOS. We are not liable for Shopify outages.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Lawful products, content, and marketing. You are responsible for consumer law, tax, shipping, refunds, and age restrictions in the countries you target.
  • A working privacy policy and terms for your own store, linked from your app if stores require it in addition to this APKIOS policy.
  • Correct configuration of Klaviyo, Meta, Google Analytics, Firebase, OneSignal, and any other integration you enable — including consents.
  • Not using APKIOS to break Apple, Google, or Shopify rules (malware, spam, misleading listings, scraping other stores).
  • Keeping staff access to the APKIOS admin under your control.

6. Intellectual property

We own APKIOS (software, admin, documentation, and the APKIOS name). You own your store content, trademarks, and product data. You grant us a licence to use that content solely to operate and publish your app. You may not reverse engineer APKIOS except where the law says you can.

7. Fees

When the Shopify App Store listing is live, subscription fees will be those shown there (or a written order if we agree a done-for-you or custom package). Until then, commercial terms are agreed by email. We do not take a revenue share of products paid through Shopify Checkout. Apple and Google may still charge you their own developer-account fees. Taxes may apply.

8. Data

Processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy at https://apkios.app/privacy. For shopper data you are the controller; we are the processor. You instruct us to process that data to run the app, and to honour Shopify’s customers/redact, shop/redact, and customers/data_request webhooks.

9. Availability and changes

We aim for a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted uptime. We may change features, APIs, or these terms. If a change is material we will update this page. Continued use after the update is acceptance, except where the law requires explicit consent.

10. Warranty and liability

APKIOS is provided as-is except for non-excludable legal warranties. We do not warrant that the app will be accepted by Apple or Google, that it will increase your revenue, or that third-party integrations will remain available.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to APKIOS is limited to the fees you paid us for APKIOS in the three months before the claim. This does not limit liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited in your country.

11. Suspension and end

You may uninstall the Shopify app at any time. We may suspend or end the service if you breach these terms, if Shopify or an app store requires it, or if we discontinue APKIOS (with reasonable notice where we can). After shop/redact we delete merchant configuration as described in the Privacy Policy. You should export anything you need before uninstalling.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise. Consumers in the EEA keep any mandatory local rights. You can always write to [email protected].
